Buried Downspout Extensions

Buried downspout extensions in St Louis are most often made of (sectioned) clay tile, buried along the foundation. These are prone to offsets and root intrusion, causing concentrated storm water from roof to penetrate the foundation, which, of course, can cause structural damage.

It is highly recommended for clay tile buried downspout extensions to be scoped separately from the sewer lateral, as these are separate systems for the most part, and can not be inspected from the riser (in yard) or stack (in basement).
